Handicare 1100 – From €1999
Our best selling straight stairlift, the Handicare 1100 is ultra slim & compact and can be placed close to the wall, leaving a lot of free space on the staircase for other stair users. It is the slimmest straight stairlift rail on the market. To save even more space, the stairlift seat, footrest and armrests can be folded when not in use. The seat will swivel at the top landing, making sure you can get on and off the stairlift easily and safely and the safety sensors will stop the lift in case of obstruction.
Handicare 1000
The Handicare 1000 provides comfort and support and gives the option of upgrading with powered features. With no gearing exposed, the 1000 track offers a sleek look and takes up less room along your staircase to ensure others can safely get by. The Handicare 1000 features optional upgrades including a perch seat, harness and heavy-duty kit. The 1000 stairlift is also available in 6 different seat colours, allowing you to choose a colour to match your décor.
Straight stairlifts for heavier users
The Handicare 1000 is available in XL or XXL versions that cater to weight capacities of up to 160kg and 200kg respectively. This upgrade is ideal for commercial applications and users with larger frames. Both upgrades maintain Handicare’s comfort and safety standards along with its slim, compact track to maximise space on your staircase.

Handicare slide track
The Slide Track is a groundbreaking solution available only from Handicare. This unique solution moves the track up the staircase at the same time as the seat is moving, leaving the doorway at the base of your stairs unobstructed.

Powered swivel
All of our stairlifts come with a manual swivel seat as standard. If you choose the powered swivel option the seat swivel is operated by continuing to hold the toggle or joystick when you arrive at the top of the staircase. The seat will move automatically while the toggle / joystick is activated.
Available on the Handicare 1000 and 1100 models
Powered footplate
All of our stairlifts come with a manual folding footplate as standard. If you choose the powered footplate option it will remove the need for you to bend down to fold or unfold the footplate. You can choose to have a footplate that folds automatically when the seat is folded and unfolded, or that is operated separately to the seat by a switch in the seat arm.

Easy hinge
In order for the seat to get low enough for the user to sit on, it is necessary for the track to extend beyond the staircase to the lower floor level. Or in some cases, there may be a doorway close to the bottom of the stairs and the track may intrude across this. The Easy Hinge allows for the bottom portion of the rail to be lifted up out of the way of any doorways or passageways when the stairlift is not in use. It works with the assistance of a gas strut, meaning that operation is as easy as possible.

Powered hinge
The Handicare 1000 stairlift can also be supplied with an automatic hinged track which means when operating the stairlift from the toggle, the hinge will lift/lower automatically. This removes the need to bend down when lifting or lowering the rail.

Zero intrusion kit
The footplate of your stairlift will finish equal to the top or bottom of the stairs. There’s no need to step off the footplate, all you need to do is swivelling your seat, making it easy to get safely on the landing. Zero intrusion eliminates the rail overrun, allowing you to install a Handicare 1100 stairlift with no modifications made to your home.

With a choice of six colours (Ruby, Cacao, Sand, Sapphire, Slate & Jade), the Handicare 1000’s smart seat’s practical pre-formed upholstery provides a sturdy and resilient seat solution to suit almost any décor or style to blend seamlessly.

Perch seat
Ideal for those with knee or hip flexion problems, the Perch seat alleviates the need to sit down when using your stairlift. The Perch seat can also suit narrow staircases where standard stairlifts do not have the clearance.

Full body harness
Designed for customers who need extra support The curved design makes the harness more comfortable to wear and each harness comes with adjustable straps to tailor the harness to your needs. The harness is available in three sizes.

Continuous charging
The Handicare 1100 does not have to be parked at a designated charge point – the lift is charged at any point along the entire length of the track, so you can leave the stairlift wherever you want, without worrying that if it is being charged.
